No snowmaking temps last night - so we'll kick the season off on Dec 17 with Free Beginners' Day (free beginner tow ticket, level 1 or 2 lesson age 6 and up for skiers, 8 and up for riders at 10:30 or 1:30 and rentals) plus a visit from Santa. Ski school will also be having its early season on-snow clinic that day so if you are16 or older and at least an intermediate level skier or rider contact us for details. No teaching experience necessary. The temperatures look good starting tonight and our snowmaking crew will be busy whenever the temps are cold enough. Plus there is some snow in the forecast over the next week. The ski shop will be open this weekend from 10-4 both days for seasonal rentals. Gift cards and winter sport necessities (goggles/gloves/socks/etc) are also available for your holiday gifts.
Still hoping to be able to do Free Beginners' Day on Saturday. Mother Nature, however, is not cooperating. We did not have snowmaking temps the last 2 nights and the forecast for tonight is marginal because of high humidity. Tomorrow night the temps will drop drastically and we'll have a few good nights. If we are unable to open for Saturday, Free Beginners' Day will be postponed until 12/17. We'll keep you posted.
Only three days left to get your $189 season pass for this season. Price jumps to $220 on Fri so go on-line today and get it while you can. Looks like we'll have snowmaking temps starting on the weekend and if that's the case we'll be good for Free Beginners' Day on 12/10. Fingers crossed!
