The crew has been pushing out huge piles of snow from the past few days' snowmaking progress. Tomorrow will start with 5 runs and 2 lifts open on Ullr Mountain. The gondola will also be operating for sightseeing rides. We are doing everything we can to open some additional terrain on Eagle Mountain for the weekend. Snowmaking progress was a bit shy from connecting to the 10th Mountain Chair today. We will continue to make snow overnight and push out again tomorrow. Best case scenario is a late open on 10th Mountain lift tomorrow but it may still require another 24-hour snowmaking cycle. Meanwhile, the forecast looks excellent and we expect the conditions to change exponentially for next weekend, anticipating 3 mountains, 5 lifts and 25-30 runs. That should put us on target to get most of our primary terrain open for the Christmas/New Year holiday.

WINTER HAS ARRIVED!
A couple storms whipped up Lake Superior and delivered 6” of snow to Lutsen over the past couple days, dressing the forest in a blanket of white. Now, the colder weather we have been waiting for has arrived. The extended forecast shows optimum snowmaking temperatures for the foreseeable future with crews working 24/7, managing 80 snow machines on 25 runs. Our best projection for the weekend has us operating 2 mountains, 3 lifts and 8-10 runs. By next weekend, that number jumps to 3 mountains, 5 lifts and 25-35 runs, which puts on target to get most of our primary terrain open by the holidays.
Our first festival of the season is exactly one month away!
