Pillaging scattered powder pillows, after receiving almost 5 feet of snow in the last 7 days, with another half foot or so forecasted into Monday.

In an attempt to try and manage what are understandably high expectations, this is what we have for you this weekend with respect to snow/lifts trails. Snow: A lot of it (I shoveled it all day, I know), 16-18” in the past 24 hours, still bombing now and 50”+ this week. Lifts: Our Tram is getting some repair work on its cable and, as such, will not roll this week. We’re still expecting it the week of December 19th. As a result of repair work on the Tram cable, we can’t run the Bonnie, although we do plan to have it sometime next week along with the Flyer that is scheduled to be inspected then as well. We’ll have the Jet accessing everything we have on Stateside along with the Taxi and moving carpet. We wish we had more uphill capacity for this weekend but what you find here, you’re going to enjoy. For another piece of perspective, this time last year we had one lift and one run with what snow we could scrape together. To say the least, we are extremely grateful for this strong start to the season, and we look forward to seeing Passholders at our Passholder appreciation party tomorrow; 4p in the IR. Travel safely all. Sincerely, Steve Wright | GM

You can't make a bad turn today. We're getting buried out here under 12-14" so far, and this blizzard seems to be h… https://t.co/wlj7tZv6p3

Guttural noises in the place of words today. The snow is all-time, blower and beautiful. We currently stand at 12-14" and it's still whiteout status with no end in sight, or any sight for that matter.

UPDATE: we were a little modest in our first snow report this morning. As it stands right now, there’s 10-12” of fluff on the hill, with more coming down by the minute. First chair on The Jet is planned for 9:00 AM. Why are you still reading this message?

Jay Peak HIER à 12:18:54

Better start diggin'.... From the snow report: 6-8” and still dropping. Holy powder shooting cows, we got hit with a sleeper storm last night. Over HALF A FOOT landed last night and more continues to fall as the day begins. Be prepared to grip that steering wheel with all of your mite; if this snow keeps up we could see some serious accumulation today.

The Taxi Quad, Stateside Carpet and Terrain Based Learning Zone opened today. 6" forecasted by Friday, as we push for 24 trails this weekend

Jay Peak 07-12-2016 à 17:40:43

The Taxi Quad and Stateside Carpet open today, adding beginner and novice trails to the mix. A huge shout out goes to Mountain Ops for pushing out the terrain based learning zone for the start of our Ski School lessons. As we continue snowmaking across the hill and adding to the three feet of natural from the past week, we aim to have 24 trails ready for the weekend. Last but definitely not least, we could see another 6" by Friday. Skol.

@EWoz13 @SurfSkiWxMan Ha. Why, because we're not peacocking our totals like some of our southern competitors? Our count started in November
