After receiving 3" of hard rain and warm temps during the week leading up to Opening Day, we had limited terrain to open with, but our awesome Snowmaking and Grooming crews were able to produce really nice conditions! We saw lots of smiles and fun being had. Rain shmain, ski season is here at Gunstock!
Skiers and Riders: we just got word that we've been cleared to open tomorrow morning! Smith will be open from the Ramrod lift and Peep Sight will be open from the Penny lift. We will provide food service from the Stockade lodge. Tickets will be $25 for the day. We can't wait to see you on the mountain!
It's been raining quite a bit this week. It's been warm. We realize there may be some questions regarding Opening Day, so our GM, Greg Goddard, has compiled some facts to answer your queries. Best if read with a Dan Aykroyd voice:
It was rainy, it was foggy, it was misty, but there was shredding to be had. Thanks to all the die hards who braved the elements and represented at the Black Friday Rail Jam! We had a great time with you.
We're hosting the Black Friday Rail Jam today right next to the Main Lodge. Mix 94.1 FM is on site to provide the soundtrack and Mountainside Outfitters is offering Black Friday specials! Please help us keep the holiday spirit going and bring non-perishable food items for families in need. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the 2016 | Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction. If you can't make it to the event, you can watch it live on our webcam: http://www.gunstock.com/discover/webcam/
