Porters is OPEN for the last day of the season! We have clear skies with soft spring snow conditions - should be a fine, warm and sunny day with light northerly winds. Lifts will close at 3pm today, so we will charge half day rates all day today (adults $69, students $44 and youth $34) So come and join us for the last day of 2016!
All good things must come to an end and tomorrow - Saturday 1st October - will be our last day of the season.
There's still great spring skiing to be had on the upper mountain with all the main runs (including Bluff Face) all still open (the carpet lift area is now closed). The low cloud that's been hanging over us the last few days has now lifted, and the forecast is set to be good for tomorrow.
We will close our lifts tomorrow at 3pm so will charge half day rates all day. A full mountain pass will cost just $69 for adult, $44 for students and $34 for youths.
So join us tomorrow and get your last turns in for 2016!
Come and enjoy some of the last days of the season. We have soft spring snow conditions, with fun skiing and riding over the whole mountain. We have some clouds coming in and out of the valley, but it is set to be a mainly fine day. Plus, during the last week, we will sell adult passes for just $69, students $44 and youth $34!
We are open again today. Soft and moist spring snow conditions should make it into fun skiing and riding especially on the upper mountain once the clouds lift. Photo: Luke Armstrong, sunrise at Porters this morning www.skiporters.co.nz/snow-report
We are well above the cloud at Porters and it's set to be another great spring day in the mountains.Tomorrow is Retro Day so grab your retro gear - we'll be giving away prizes for best dressed sponsored by Underground Coffee Roasters #skiporters #springskiing
We're currently above the cloud at Porters! Clouds could move in and out of the valley for a time during the morning but we are expecting a fine day. We had a good frost last night so the snow will be firm in the morning and softening once the sun comes out. The main runs have been groomed overnight with great skiing and riding. Watch out for thin areas as well as rocks on and off-piste. Bluff Face will be open once snow surface releases.. www.skiporters.co.nz/snow-report
