Lutsen Mountains will be open for skiing Friday, December 9 - Sunday, December 11. Projecting 2 lifts and 5 runs on Ullr Mountain Friday. Weather permitting, adding additional terrain through the weekend. 3 mountains, 5 lifts, 15 runs possible with current forecast.
We had a good night of snowmaking last night and are able to run through the day today. Ullr, Big Bunny and Flapjack are looking to be in good shape for the weekend for those anxious to make their first turns. Eagle and Moose Mountain are still a couple days out, but very likely for next weekend. Ticket prices for this weekend are $49/day Adult, $34/day Child.
Lutsen Mountains will be open for skiing and snowboarding this Saturday & Sunday, December 3 & 4 with 3 runs and two lifts on Ullr Mountain. The gondola will operate on Saturday for sightseeing rides to the Summit Chalet. We have a good start on snowmaking on Eagle and Moose Mountain, but need two or three good snowmaking days to open our first slopes on these mountains. The forecast is promising for snowmaking to resume this afternoon, but likely not enough hours to connect the dots on Moose Mountain for this weekend.
The holiday season is a time to celebrate family. And what better way to come together for oodles of fun than our Family Night at Summit Chalet! Ride the gondola up the mountain for an evening filled with art projects, face painting, pizza, fireworks, a magic show, and live kids music from Jack and Kitty - Music! Thank You to the 1500+ guests who chose to spend Black Friday with family and friends outdoors at Lutsen in our #OptOutside #FreeSkiFriday. We love your spirit. Hundreds hit the slopes for the first time. The kids hit tricks on an impromptu jump built on a side slope not “officially” open. And hundreds more just enjoyed the gondola ride and view from the summit of Moose Mountain. To all who were here, or outdoors anywhere – tell the world – let’s make this a movement. #OptOutside
