Great news! We are fully operational starting Monday, 12/26! And will be open every day through Monday, January 2. Do note that these are early season conditions, so be prepared.
Here's what will be open: all the lifts, all Nordic trails, the Wild Wolf Tubing Hill (!), the Rental Shop on the Hill, Ski and Board School (take a lesson!), the Wolf Den Day Lodge with new food service (by Steven Kelly of Wesola Polana).
As always, the most accurate, up to date information can be found on our website. Open and scroll down for conditions and latest news: https://skitheloup.com.
Please share this with your friends and we'll see you Monday on the Hill!
We are so sorry, but the lifts are NOT open this weekend!!!
But the Ticket Office IS open on Friday and Saturday, 12/23-24, 9-2pm.
Our Nordic trails are groomed and offered free of charge this weekend. Snowshoeing, Fat Bikes and canines are welcome on the mixed use trail that runs along the entry road back toward the highway.
NO FOOD SERVICE IS OFFERED YET, so please bring a lunch.
Get your Season Pass processed in the Office, buy gift certificates or sign up for Multi-Week Lesson Programs that begin in January! 4-5 year olds can take advantage of the 6 week Terrific Tots Friday program that starts on January 6. Or the 6 week Saturday Group lessons for 7 year olds to Adult, starting January 7.
Our Rental Shop is open to tune your skis and boards, and to sell hats, gloves, socks and other merchandise that is perfect for the holidays.
We are just as anxious as you are to get those lifts open. All that snow this week dumped in Mazama, but passed by the Hill. We are appraising the situation day by day and as soon as we determine it is safe for you to go to the top of the mountain, we will let you know.
The best place to find the most accurate information about our opening date is our website: https://skitheloup.com.
Soon, soon, soon!
Attn Nordic skiers: We have groomed the Loup Loup Bear Mountain trails and they are in great shape for Nordic skiing! However, the ticket office is not yet open and we can't sell you passes. So we are inviting Nordic skiers up for FREE SKIING until we officially open!
We still need about 6" more before we can open the entire Hill, but we are oh, so close. Stay tuned. Only the Bear Mountain cross country trails are open as of 12/10/16. Please do not skin up the Alpine mountain as we are working hard to build that base and we don't want to lose an inch of it.
When you come up, if the gate is open, feel free to park in the lot, but plan to move your car by 4pm so you don't get locked in. If the gate is closed, park along the road and ski in.
If you are coming up to snowshoe, please travel single file and stay to the edge of the trails to protect the grooming for skiers.
Have a great time and we'll see you soon!
