Just after 7 this morning, temps 32 @ Base 33 @ Peak. Skies are mostly clear with more wetness in our forecast through Sunday, calling for a mixture of rain and snow. We are still scheduled to open this weekend with Chair 6 to mid mountain and our moving carpet. Mtn Ops will take a look and confirm by noon today.
We will close this coming Monday through Friday, December 12-16, then reopen Saturday, December 17, very likely on a daily basis as we move into the holiday period.
More snow in the extended forecast, let's hope mother nature provides some of that all natural as we head into the holidays!
Storm Chaser/Pow Hunter Update:
Temps are hovering slightly above and below freezing up here 27 @ base, 34 @ peak and dropping fast. It looks like the heaviest of the precipitation will happen tonight into Thursday, tapering off into the afternoon. Forecasts show we are flirting with the snow level from Friday on, keep doing your snow dances! At this time we are scheduled to reopen THIS SATURDAY with Chair 6 to mid mountain and our longest moving carpet in the base area for beginners/first timers. Fingers crossed for opening more weather permitting!
